She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, Prey is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. That paddle's mine.Ĭheck out the thrilling, action-packed new trailer for Prey, the newest entry in the Predator franchise. The game will have Wi-Fi Connection support, but we didn't get a chance to see what that was all about. Arkanoid DS will ship this December with and without the paddle. It will also be supported in Space Invaders Extreme, a far, far more impressive Taito remake that'll be hitting the scene in 2008. It spins freely and heavily, and gives players classic analog twist control with tactile feedback - the faster you spin, the faster the paddle will move on-screen. It's not just a plastic knob either: it actually has weight to it. The thing plugs into the Game Boy Advance slot. While I'm not excited about the Arkanoid conversion, I absolutely love the paddle. It just seems wrong that you don't have Breakout levels that require maneuvering the paddle all the way to the edges of the screen. The other complaint: the levels we played actually border the playfield, which means there's less playable area. The balls will disappear into that deadspace and reappear in an amount of time that seems far too long for the amount of distance the balls actually travel. The game features two-screen tall levels where the ball travels from the bottom screen to the top, but the developers put WAY too much dead space where the hinge is on the Nintendo DS system. Although many elements, like the game's epic theme at the start of a level, remains intact, the visual style has changed completely. Honestly, I'm not entirely thrilled with the direction the development team took with Arkanoid on the Nintendo DS.
